As a lifelong angler, Alaska has always been on my radar as somewhere I wanted to g, so when presented with the opportunity in 2021, I jumped on it. I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences of my life. The fishing was unlike anything I had ever experienced before…from giant Rainbows to Dolly Vardens to Salmon; the trip just got better and better as it went on. The camp was comfortable, the scenery was unbelievable, and the Roller family were not only great guides and teachers, but honestly, I could go back just for their stories alone! I’ll be back this summer and each one after that!

Saying you are going on a fishing trip to Alaska is an understatement in itself. It’s an adventure just to get there, and we timed our run perfectly...grayling and trout to start the week, and then the salmon train pulled in. David, Crockett, and crew are outstanding hosts, and we thank the brown bears and bald eagles for sharing their wilderness with us. As a Kiwi, I have had the luxury of many spectacular days on rivers, lakes, and oceans, but this was incomparable to anything I have experienced before. You’ll be surprised how much you don’t miss emails and text messages.

We’ve been fishing with David and Crocket in both Michigan and Alaska for over three years at this point. I can’t emphasize enough what a capable, competent, and seasoned bunch these guys are. Their daily dedication to each fishermen's experience is amazing, and their genuine enthusiasm for each fish landed is inspiring. We’re already booked for Kings on the Alagnak in 2023 and will be looking forward to the Pere Marquette this fall!
